I want to open an online store selling designer clothes?
How do I go about finding authentic designer clothes to sell. I see a lot of sellers on amazon and ebay selling clothing like ed hardy and juicy couture, how to they acquire those clothes.
Sellers on Amazon and ebay are suffering right now, the economy is terrible and no one is buying….I use both trust me I know! Right now is not the time for a high end business venture, not saying you will never have the opportunuty but you will lose money on Amazon and ebay if you start now. If you don’t believe me go to ebay look at the items, the prices they are now selling for (really low to recieve much profit) and think about you not having the history some sellers do. Then look at the completed sales and see how many items did NOT sell….It’s insane! When you do see a sale it is usually by a powerseller and thats not easy to become…especially now….If you still dont believe me go into the ebay forums and read the constant venting sellers do about the impossible job they have, for numerous reasons…
1. People are not buying
2. They have to lower the cost too low to clear a sale
3. Ebays changed policys benefit the buyer so sellers are constantly robbed (this is the reason I left Ebay)
4 Ebays fees!!! AAAHHH they steal steal steal and now that they demand you use paypal (which they own) you pay them twice..you can lose up tp 15% this way..
Now amazon..this is in my opinion the best online marketplace in the world…they secure the buyer and seller and thats why they suceed but they too can’t bring you sales in a bad economy. Most importantly you have to be approved as a business with sales history to sell clothes on amazon…They want a website with raffic history and more…THEN they make a decision so you have to build your clientele a bit before you go there….I dont want you think not a chance…just not now……
